Steve worked in the insurance industry for 20 years in various claims-related roles, latterly as Head of Claims Strategy for Direct Line Group. This included substantial M&A involvement, strategic transformation programmes, restructuring projects and leading the Claims response to the multi-year CMA Private Motor Inquiry. Since September 2007 he has been a Trustee of DLG Pension Trustee Limited, encompassing Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution schemes and Chaired the investment Committee from 2009. Steve was appointed as an Independent Director of LSF Pensions Management Limited in January 2025 and is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee.
